insta-weekend

although i have been a little gloomy on here the past few days and have probably led you to believe that i've actually spent my weekend hiding under my cozy light-weight feather down comforter, but i promise that i did plenty summer living over the weekend and even brought in a little evidence of my activities from my adventures.

enjoy!

left to right: marc broussard at the ft. worth botannical gardens, my lovely date and i,  monthly cooking night in with my girls, some southern style dessert: peach cobbler/vanilla ice cream, visited a new church, spent some ME time in Galations, random & unexpected skype session with the brother, sunday evening bedtime reading.

con Maggie

every once in a while, when i'm not already committed to a millon different things throughout my week, my dear friend maggie & i have a date night which ALWAYS consists of either panera or mcallisters & now that it is officially spring time, some delicious frozen yogurt.

we had so much fun going to some sketchy thrift stores & actually finding some buried treasure. getting lost in a little bit of ross digging. and of course enjoying the beautiful spring time breeze made possible by outdoor seating! it's our favorite combination.

good times, maggie.
good times.

jesus & headbands.

as if that already doesn't sound like they go together haha (i think i'm the only person who thought that was funny)...we made it happen last monday night. recently, a few girls from church and i have been getting together for some jesus time on monday evenings. it's been such a wonderfully difficult time of learning. i am forever being changed by each time we meet.

growing up, i wasn't too fond of "girl time" or even having girls as friends. i thought it was lame. and i didn't really want anything to do with girls, but as i have become older & have gone through some hardships, jesus showed me how much i need other women. even if it's just a time for us to craft & hang out.
SO we were getting together last week to you know..talk about that awesome man we love & it somehow magically transformed into a hot glue gun & fabric fiesta.

God bless girl time.
i love you all.

*shout out to christne, i forgot to get you in a photo!
